what’s planned

Fund raiser: October 21st

People came and had a great time. “Out of the Shadows” provided excellent entertainment for us. Between donations and the raffle we have raised just over £1000 for our work in Africa. That will go mainly to building the first of the final three classrooms to finish the school.

Thanks to Mark Greenway, catering and John chairman of the centre for fabulous food and the free use of the room.

Next years dinner is already booked for Friday 10th November 2017 at the Ambleside Club! Please put it in your diary.

Come and join us for a Fundraising evening at the Ambleside Community and Sports Club, Ambleside Way, Nuneaton.  Entertainment by “TBC”
The dinner will be three courses with soup starter and main course from the carvery with a choice of sweet, tea or coffee included. Choice of menu includes vegetarian options.
7:00 for 7:30  cost £TBC per person

Developments at the school needing funding in the coming months… years…

  • funding the building of another classroom – we have a preschool and grades 1 to 8 but only 6 classrooms. As the school thank-you-a2a-co-uk1197works towards sustainability we will look at increasing the number of children we help from the present 200  up towards the 260 mark. The first stage is adding the accommodation.
  • Work has started on the 1st of these classrooms.

  • complete the purchase of additional land.
  • consider building staff accommodation on site which will return a sustainable rental income. The staff currently rent accommodation off site from private landlords
